Company Description and Philosophies
The Orthoshop-Tucson
is one of the most versatile and experienced photogrammetric mapping firms in existence today. Our Tucson main office was launched at its current location in 1987.
We
employ a dedicated team of skilled professionals with more than fifty years of combined experience in a comprehensive variety of mapping disciplines, including flight-planning, aerial photography, conventional
topographic mapping, and orthophoto reproduction.
We provide individualized consulting, including mapping specifications and standards compliance for major exploration and development projects in both the private and governmental sectors.
Our client base ranges from small engineering companies requiring just a few mapping photographs to international mining conglomerates that rely on our precision mapping to accomplish their critical mine
pit updates and volume calculations. State, county and city governments use our specialized mapping services for flood and environmental studies, development activities, and road, utility and
other improvement programs.
In combination with the exceptional technical skill of our staff, state-of-the-art equipment enables us to provide our clients with products of remarkable accuracy and quality, tailored to their precise operational requirements. The Orthoshop-Tucson is committed to carefully assessing each client’s specialized requirements and fulfilling them in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Facilities and Equipment
The Orthoshop-Tucson operates state-of-the-art production facilities equipped with some of the most advanced and precise
technology currently available.
Our sophisticated workflows and processing techniques enable our staff to consistently deliver mapping products of the highest accuracy and quality.
For photogrammetric tasks such as data collection and
triangulation, our Leica BC2 and BC3 analytical plotters provide resolving capabilities down to just 1 micron and RMS errors of less than 4um. In combination with our industry-leading quality control
measures, these exceptional levels of precision can accomodate virtually any mapping requirement.
Cutting-edge Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD) workstations assembles data using various analytical plotters
and other technology to generate precision digital terrain model contours, patterning data, and other products.
We use other high-end systems such as Linotype S3300 PMT scanners with true optical resolutions of 9,600 dpi. These devices provide much higher detail in highlight and shadow areas, and greater
sharpness than the less-expensive systems used by most of our competitors.
Digital
Photogrammetric Workstations (DPWs) with the most advanced proprietary software platforms and digital processors enable us to generate orthophoto files of extraordinary sharpness and pixel-perfect
accuracy.
High-resolution
Linotype Postscript Imagesetter systems use 488 nanometer Argon ion lasers, and can can easily handle images up to 750 mm by 1,100 mm with resolutions up to 3,251 dpi and 200 lines
per inch. These devices yield repeatable resolving accuracies of 5um or less over the entire image.
Whatever your requirements, we have the experience, expertise and equipment to deliver the highest quality precision mapping products available, anywhere and anytime. Call OST for a free consultation and project quote at no obligation: 520.798.1323
